SECTION III SUMMARIES &
CONCLUSIONS
Section III presents a summary of the examples
of the full version of Ben's Antipodal Impact Theory in action.
This
section then looks at the conclusions that we can draw from this theory and the
examples from the past.
The primary conclusions are:
1. The
major mass extinctions were caused by persistent and explosive volcanism at the
antipodes of very large cosmic impacts.
2. There are no other
mysterious earthly phenomena (e.g. "rare mantle plumes") that are going to
cause a major mass extinction.
3. Major mass extinctions can be
prevented. It is only through man's modern technology that the Earth all the
creatures living in its protective environment can be saved from the next
otherwise inevitable major mass extinction. |
